But how do you force End Users to Save with Compatibility Mode.<br />
They have Office documents in the shared drive, &nbsp;they click save icon and it gets saved with whatever version of office they own. how do you force the office documents in the share to be saved with Compatibility mode ?

You can get users to use either mode (as I said above - good instructions) but why? &nbsp;Everything now is new (DOCX) mode.

You now (in 2018) and with Office 2010 and newer want to turn Compatibility Mode OFF not ON. &nbsp;Use the newer method (new 10 or 11 years ago).

I need some kind of mechanism like GPO to force &nbsp;users who have office 2013 or 2016 to save their documents in Compatibility mode.<br />
