I've already disabled the main firewall from the server end so why do I need to disable the in/out bound.

1.Login to sccm server > firewall.cpl to disabled all
2. Restart the Wsus services.msc
3. Go to IIS to start Wsuspool
4. Open update service to check download after syn
5. Check CM trace log > successfully connected to local WSUS server

Pa check my troubleshooting steps are correct.

However, the sccm server still shown the old update release date.

Tks.

Just to highlight one more thing from the above article that if you disable Firewall
You will be unable to connect to shares on the server, and "Network path not found" will be the resulting error.
How to prove that  unable to connect to network shares after disabled firewall on client PC as PC still connecting to file server sharing?
>> How to prove that  unable to connect to network shares after disabled firewall on client PC as PC still connecting to file server sharing?

This is the known behavior with network shares if you disable Firewall as explained in the article provided as well.
Kindly let me know for more details.
My boss always believes he is right after disabling it still working so I need to prove it to him in technical or fact and not reading articles.
If that is the case, then enable Firewall and then modify the below things to prove him that it will work without disabling Firewall..
Kindly allow Inbound connections to Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and both Inbound and Outbound connection to File and Printer Sharing to get it fixed out..

Then you can disable and show him the difference..
Hope this helps.
