When taking on a new account, how do you transfer 365 from one MSP to another or do i need to migrate the accounts? Customer does not control the 365 account.

Hi genusys,

It depends on how the MSP is providing the service. If it is on their platform then you will need to migrate as any other migration.

If they don't provide you with migration access into their console, etc. and its a small office you could just backup the Outlook profiles to PST, create the new tenant and then import the PSTs.

Let me know if you have any questions!

just to add on, in order to transition away, then you should request a global admin account.

if you have a global admin account, consider you got full rights to it.

the customer might not control if they are the owner, then they have right to ask for one

unless the office 365 is shared (which is rare unless it is a spin off from existing company)
