Local account name change not deep into the OS
HI,
I have a laptop with a local account. I changed the name of the local user account from user_name to firstname_lastname and that was all fine.
When I re-started, the new username came up as the login name.
However, I noticed that when I sent a print job, the print job is listed as the older user_name not the new one.
Also, if I do ctrl + alt + del to change the password, it says "change password for user_name" not the new firstname_lastname
It seems like the only changes have been superficial, but underneath, the account settings have remained as the old user account details on the laptop.
What do I have to do to make sure that the account name change is reflected right the way through the OS?
Many thanks, experts, in advance for advice.

The only complete way to do this (as far as I know) is to create a new user with the name you want and move over whatever data you want to keep. Otherwise, at a minimum the old name will still appear in \users\<login name>.
