Need help moving VMs from Local storage to iSCSI storage in VMWare 6.7

Using VMware 6.7
- having problems moving VM from local storage to LUN
- tried Quick migration and vm copy

using Veeam getting errors:
1 . Processing BWSUTL01 Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.       00:48 (using vm copy)
2.  Processing VM GESUTL01 Error: Cannot migrate VM GESUTL01. VM virtual hardware version is incompatible with target vCenter or ESX(i).        00:18 (using quick migration)

Hoping to not have to manually copy files, if possible.

Do you have vCenter Server ?

Also what version of Veeam are you using, because earlier versions were not supported on 6.7

 vSphere 6.7 will be supported with VBR 9.5 Update 3a.

This was supposed to be released Mid June 2018! and it still looks like based on their website, the version is still December 2017, non a version.

Question... any tricks to migrating vcenter?
Now that's a tricky one, and has to be done manually.... by connecting direct to ESXi, and vCenter Server powered off.

same procedure as this EE Article I wrote

HOW TO: Clone or Copy a virtual machine in VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESX/ESXi 4.x or ESXi 5.0
