Gmail settings in Outlook

I am running Office 365, which collects my Gmail emails.   I had to change my Gmail password, which I then changed in my Outlook settings, but when I try to send email I get the following error (both smtp and imp):

How do I get rid of this an fix my email settings so it works again?

Thanks,

Phil

You need the address (imap/pop3.gmail.com or whatever), userid and password, and port number / security settings all correct.

Maybe delete the Outlook Profile (Control Panel, Mail) which deletes your account. Restart and set it up again.

I went ahead and deleted the account, then recreated it using the steps and settings provided.  When I was done, I got the same dialog boxes, followed by the following message:

I'm sure I'm using the correct password, since it works to log in to the Gmail account online.
David,  I tried going back into my Google settings and changing my password.  Then I tried setting up a new email account for Outlook, but I get the same errors.
I didn't know that the "app password" was different than the password I used to log into Gmail.  By creating an app password that solved the problem.  Thank you!
