Hi Paul,

i downloaded the software and it installed but software needed to be acitivated before it will launch.
i can't use the CamStuido software as i can't play the file any.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks
i don't think that there is a FREE solution to your problem
An N3R file is video created by a Panasonic security system, which includes the WV-ASM200, WV-ASE201, WV-ASE202, WV-ASE203, and WV-ASE204 versions. It contains video recorded by Panasonic security cameras and downloaded using the security system management software.

More Information
Panasonic security systems come with management software to control the system. The included program is called "Operation Software" and requires your username and password in order to log in. The program allows you to control assigned cameras. You can save images to the JPEG format, print images, and choose camera views.

You can also download video from the security cameras using the "Operation Software" program. The video is saved in the proprietary N3R format, which can be played by the "ND_Viewer" program that comes with the security system. This utility also allows you to convert the N3R video to the .MP4 video format, which can be played back by a larger amount of video players.
these cameras are used as security cameras and the software to read the n3r files is associated to the same PC as the camera. so unless you have the original installation software for your camers, i'm afraid you're out of luck.

if you can stream the camera to your PC, then you can record the live broadcast using CamStuido
Based on the link Paul provided, and the following link, you can export the viedos to MP4 with Panasonic's WV-ASM200 software: https://www.file-extensions.org/convert-n3r-to-avi

Once you have an MP4, you can convert it to any other format.  Unfortunately, it's an expensive piece of software.

You can view the files with free Android and iPhone Apps.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/panasonic-security-viewer/id646285328?l=ja&ls=1&mt=8

Unfortunately, you have to pay for the computer app

Why doesn't your Panasonic have the viewer?
May I ask how you got the n3r file off the Panasonic?
The viewer software is available by clicking “Viewer” button at “HDD” tab
on the bottom right of the top page for network recorder

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the response, i was sent the footage by dvd but i wasn't sent any player to view the files.
So i am looking for a player to view the files.
i dont have the panasonic device i was sent files but no viewer
Getting nowhere fast does anybody the panasonic player they could send me ?
All help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Either use the free phone apps I linked for you or ask the people that sent you the n3r files to export them as mp4 with their Panasonic app.

We can't send you the paid versions of software.  You have to purchase a copy yourself.
Hi,

I downloaded the phone app
It whats me to setup a connction to  a device so that dose'nt work am i doing something wrong  ?
i dont want the software just the player.
Cant get hold of the people that send the footage.
When they sent it to you on DVD they should have done you the courtesy of converting it to a better format of mp4.

Try downloading and using the free file Viewer Plus.
