Steps to verify that SQL database name exists (or is created automatically as part of SCCM installation process)

I'm in the process of installing and configuring System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) on a Server 2016 server.

This server already has SQL 2016 installed.

In the part of the SCCM configuration that requires that a database name be entered does this database name have to already exist on the SQL server or is this database name created as part of the SCCM installation? I'm trying to figure out if I need to manually configure this SQL server database name or if it will automatically be created as part of the SCCM installation process.

I am in the process of following the instructions in this guide for setting up SCCM 2016 which can be found here: http://eddiejackson.net/web_documents/SCCM_2016_Setup_Created_by_Eddie.pdf (and is attached below).

Alright, I'm in the process of installing the SQL Server Management Studio.

When I click the "Next" button shown in the screenshot attached to this question I receive the error message detailed in my other posting here.
