Create SQL 2016 logon account for AD account
Please provide me with detailed step-by-step instructions on how to create a SQL 2016 login account for an Active Directory account.
In my other question here I have been instructed to create a SQL login account for the 'BAYITNC\Administrator' account (which is the domain admin account).
I am very new to SQL.
Please provide me with the exact steps on how to do this.
If any further information is needed please let me know.

As mentioned in the other thread, it would be SQL Authentication instead of Windows Authentication and you might need to provide the user name and password which you have created as per the URL.

I have followed the instructions in the URL you provided.
Now when I launch SQL Server Management Studio what options do I use to login with the new account I just created named security?
What do I change the "Server Type" "Server name" & "Authentication" fields too?
Or do I need to launch or do something else?
