What are FileOpen files which appears on Windows 7 computers?

Late in the afternoon, today, the following files appears on two of the users workstations at the office:
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/L10n/fotk_de.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/L10n/fotk_fr.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/L10n/fotk_zh.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkBus.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkCnfs.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkDrs.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkLngs.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkLsts.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkNis.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkPrs.lcd
/mnt/hd/ProgramData/FileOpen/updates/Lists/fotkRds.lcd

I don't think this is the Adobe FileOpen plugin as neither of these users have any adobe products; nor does FileOpen appear in the Programs and Features list. I'm always wary of files that spontaneously appear on Windows computers. Also, the office is actually closed today, so there's no chance these users downloaded something deliberately. Does anyone know what this is?

I ran a full scan with Norton and msert. Some trojans were found and removed, but these C:\ProgramData\FileOpen files remain. No Abbey installed.

Also, it seems that the following programs use .lcd files: Space International CDSpace, EZB Systems UltraISO, PowerISO, ESTsoft AlZip; none of which are installed. But specifically, the files I've listed in my OP are supposedly Abbyy Formreader and Finereader files.

Restart and run a scan with Malwarebytes and see if uncovers more viruses.

In the case of viruses found, you may have to back up and reinstall Windows. That is fairly common.

What else is happening on the computer?  You may be able to schedule a reinstall.
