Based on your question I looked at my system and found that I never enable Reporting Role. So this morning I installed it and there is a can report for software.
Do you have this role installed on your SCCM machine?

I don't believe I have the Reporting role enabled.
Can you provide me with the steps on how to enable it?

Open Administration | Site Configuration | Right Click Sites | Select Add Site Roles
Press Next | Next | Select Reporting Server Point
Once done goto Monitoring | Reporting | Reports (note it will take about 15 mins to populate all the pre-canned reports)
