http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=401536293075&view=all&tid=714115658027

6 inch extender for audio/mic

mic stops working when I use it
audio continues working

maybe if I bought a more expensive wire extender both audio & mic would work

I Tried cell phone. audio works. mic does not work

computer has one hole for both audio & mic

What kind of microphone are you using?  Do you have a model number?  Are you sure the extender cable is good?
Also your ebay  link is not valid anymore.
The link wants to make us sign in. Can you post a picture with a description?
I've signed in but the link to the item is no longer available.
RGB- Can you please respond so that we may help?

As stated by David, according to the model number of your laptop GL752VW you should have two jacks that look similar.  You can see in his picture, there are two on your laptop.  One with the Mic Input and the other a Speaker Output.
Could you verify if that is true?    There are similar models to this particular laptop for example GL753 that has the single port for Audio and Mic. Please verify the model number on the laptop as well.  Otherwise please let us know what your microphone is and we can see what kind of cabling it has on the end then can we help you move forward with this question.

I think these could work. I saw the word "mic".

Thanks.
Uhm, one word of caution, just because it says Mic, does not necessarily mean it will work.  I would certainly hope so, but if your laptop has two ports; one for mic and one for speakers/headphones the cable suggested may not work.
Also you didn't answer some of the questions.  So hard for us to be certain.

There are too many holes to the question.  The model number of the laptop shows two ports.  You purchased a cable already that didn't work.  What cable was it?

You don't specify what Mic you have and if it is separate from your speakers/headphones.

Good luck.  I hope it all works out for you.
