Original / Genuine X284G Battery for Dell Inspiron 1525?

Trying to get an original (or close to original) X284G Battery for our Dell Inspiron 1525 and stumbled across quite a few options on eBay.

This seller seems to be receiving quite a bit of good reviews for this particular battery model:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/252945012075

I'm not a shill and not trying to promote this product and just wondering what other options/places/products that you guys would recommend if it were you.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks Antzs!

Yes I did. Tried searching with the laptop's service tag and also with battery model number but no luck.

Even if they did, I'm certain that they would want around $100 or more, which is a lot more than I am willing to pay for.
With the Dell V8VNT starting at around $80 plus shipping of course you're going to be looking at an equivalent, you then have the normal issues around QA and where your supplier is sourcing their own stock.  I tend to use established storefronts like battery depot  as you know they are going to be around if you get a lemon.  They have these around $20 currently.  For auction houses like ebay it's all about the feedback check they have been selling the product you're after for a good while and the feedback is consistent.

Thanks for your detailed responses guys. Greatly appreciate it. Sorry for my delayed response. :(

@MASQ: Looking to find a battery for a Dell Inspiron 1525 and not the 15R in the earlier question. :)

Like you said, Batterydepot has this battery for $26 and $35 which isn't that bad and has gotten me to think:

https://www.batterydepot.com/lt-0225
https://www.batterydepot.com/lt-4195

If you factor in the shipping, the price comes to $40 or $50 for the Samsung batteries. Which one would you pick if it were you compared to the eBay one:

@John: Yes, for the purpose that the laptop is being used, I think OEM batteries are just fine. Currently, the laptop turns off abruptly if the charger is disconnected even for 5 minutes. I think ANY battery would be a significant upgrade to that situation.

@Andy: Thank you for the part numbers. Wow, they do have a ton of part numbers for the same product.

@WakeUp. Yes, been using Amazon for the past several years to buy batteries and while they would refund if the purchase doesn't go right, I'm usually go back to square one with purchases there.

Yes, a good return policy is always good but most batteries that I buy from there are cheap Chinese knockoffs just using Amazon Prime for peddling their crap. This battery at Batteries Plus is $100. :(

Regarding the eBay seller, he has received 136 positive reviews for the same item, which means it should be reasonably good I guess.

Thank you again guys! :)

Thanks for writing back, Wakeup and John.

Yes, Wakeup. They have also promptly answered my questions so far and so willing to roll the dice and see.

Totally agree, John. If the eBay battery is able to provide 70% performance of the original battery for the money I'm spending on it. I'd happy. Let's see. :)

Thank you once again for your assistance!

Hope it's okay to point to another question:
