Changing Scan to Email behavior

We have two Sharp MX-4070N copiers setup for scan to email. We are seeing two behaviors. The first is when trying to scan to email, it will fail, and the Job Log shows Error Cause 80-0000. Can't find any description info on that error. We tested SMTP and its working because occasionally it will send an email.

Second, there are times when it will send but it sends an email with a link back to the copier. I can't find any setting in the copier that would change this behavior, as it should be sending an attachment.

Any similar experiences like this?

We discovered the hosted email provider made changes but can't elaborate so we switched to another smtp service.
