what is the error?
can you mount the iso elsewhere?
have you tried downloading the iso image again?

Is the .ISO file located on the local machine or a network location? If network then Constrained Delegation needs to be set up to allow Hyper-V VMMS to "double-hop" from host/user session to the destination location.

Make sure the ISO is on the local computer AND on an NTFS drive.   I had problems reading ISOs on drives formatted as exFAT and FAT32.  Move them to NTFS, no problem.

I get this no matter what .iso I use local or on network share. It used to work fine and not sure whats changed in the environment.

Make sure to log on to the host as local admin. Create a new folder and make sure that account and Domain Admins have FULL permissions to that folder.

Copy the .ISO in question into that folder and mount it in the VM.

Something is munged in the user's permissions that is being used.
