If it is shared from another PC, install the printer as a Networked printer. Then browse to the sharing PC and you should see the printer there. You can also connect to it by typing its address (//server_name/printer_sha<wbr />rename) in Start &gt;&nbsp;Run.<br />

Note that this will only work if the Win10 PC has drivers installed for Win7. To check, go to Printer Properties &gt;&nbsp;Sharing &gt;&nbsp;Additional Drivers on the Win10 PC and make sure Win7 (32 or 64 bit, depending on your PC hardware) is listed.

when I install a shared hp LaserJet p3015 printer by adding a local port on a Windows 7 computer and try to print the printer needs trouble shooting shows up and nothing prints. the printer is physically attached to a Windows 10 PC. all other Windows 10 pc's will print to the same printer just fine. any ideas?

A printer is a peripheral which makes a persistent human readable representation of graphics or text on paper or similar physical media.
