MS Project 2013 - select custom fields to display in Task Information dialog box

Is it possible to add or change a custom field to the custom field tab in the Task Information dialog box in MS Project 2013 standard? If so, how?

Yes, if I coeerct understand you.
1) Select the Project Tab, then click on Custom Fields, choose Text1 and rename it to your requirements.
2) Next, click on Lookup to create a dropdown lookup field.
3) Click the upward arrow to change the display order for the lookup table and the data entry
4) Make sure that 'Allow additional items to be entered into the fields' is unchecked.
5) Right click on Group and Insert a Column.

I appreciate the attempt, Misha. The solution you proposed converts a pre-existing placeholder column (ex, Text1) to a named column and adds lookup values (thanks but I already know this). What I'm trying to figure out is how to add custom columns to the Task information dialog box and reorder them (see attached). What I've been able to figure out is that Project only adds columns automatically to the Custom Fields tab in the dialog box if they're made to be lookup values first and orders them alphabetically. I have other custom columns in the same project plan with different datatypes (numbers, dates, text fields that aren't lookups) and Project does not add them automatically. Also, the column order in the project plan itself doesn't seem to matter. Any ideas?
