asked on

calendar, outlook 2010

Is there a way to make my selected calendars "stick" in my calendar?  I have added the IT vacation calendar (and another) and the overly doesn't seem to last past when I restart my Outlook instance.
2.  Is there a way to be able to easily get 15 minute increments on meeting times?  I have to type and then have a clunky adjustment to the other meeting time that I have to go back and adjust again.  I want to be able to just pick a 15 minute increment.

I gave 1 answer Changing Your Calendar's Time Intervals
1.Go to the Calendar page in Outlook.
2.Click the View tab.
3.In the Arrangement group, click Time Scale and then click the grid interval that you want to show in the calendar
but the user says :
he was hoping he wouldn’t have to see the 15 minute increments so big when viewing my calendar.  Also, the starting time drop down still requires manually editing the start time rather than picking

any thoughts

Hello Pramod1. For the first issue, if you simply close Outlook using the X instead of File Exit, it will remember your overlay settings. As to question number 2, I am not sure I see what your issue is. If you set the time interval to 15 mins, then just click on the planner right in the time slot and start typing. You can then drag the end time to the proper end time

Hi Karan

I’m not sure that “x”-ing out saves the calendar setting since I never do File, Exit.

I have done this – the overlaid calendar also just disappears (and I have to recheck the box) when Outlook remains open and isn’t closed down at all.

any suggestions
So I am confused. Are you saying that the Outlook window remains open? Do you have the calendars open in a separate window? If so, close all Outlook windows and try again. This technique works even with older versions of Outlook
