IIS Website will not load on remote client PCs but works fine on host server
We have an IIS website that allows employees to enter their time. We recently had to make some adjustments to the main database (on a different server). However, now no one can access the website. It just times out. However, If I go to the server it is hosted on and test the website, it comes up fine. I am assuming I have some setting or permission wrong in the IIS settings? Not sure how it changed. Can someone point me to what I might need to look for? Thank you.

Yes, they are in the same building - no routers etc inbetween. They can ping via hostname and IP. They cannot access via IP. The webserver is running on a virtual server inside a Hyper-V host.
Is the web site the same name as the domain? That is, is the domain is called mycompany.com, and the web site is www.mycompany.com? If so, make sure the users are typing the "www."
Is the web server using a non-standard port/ports?
That is, it's configured to use port 80/443?
Is there any possibility another device on the network is using that IP address?

It is using the prefix ews. It is using standard ports. Interestingly, I can get to it from the Hyper-V host as well. But that is it.
I tried changing its IP address, but get the same behavior.

Sometimes databases contains security access settings that could be missed during your database maintenance window, IP Access or similar restrictions are sometimes stored on database. Is there any change for you to restore your database as it was before? This could help to either of both focus your attention of database or remove database from the equation.
