Need to override lock file in sharepoint 2013
Need to override lock file in sharepoint 2013. Users will open a file and then lock their system which locks the open file and need the ability to override the lock file?

It is not checked out it is when they leave their computer with the form open it locks it. I tried a script from SharePoint Diary but it only checks in the file when it tries to unlock it I receive error saying the file is locked for exclusive use by user
Hi,
Go into the library and set it so that it requires check out in order to edit the document. This will cause users to get a read-only copy in their client app, unless they check it out, and then in that case the script from SharePoint Diary will be a holy-nirvana type of event.
