SCCM Client "Waiting to install" FOREVER!

I do not have access to the SCCM server ... only the Windows 7 clients. How to fix software center "Waiting to install"? This is a common problem on many clients, but not all.
I have tried:
foreach($i in gwmi -Namespace root/ccm/policy/machine/actualconfig -Class ccm_softwaredistribution -Filter "ADV_AdvertisementID='CS123456'"){$i.delete()}

Open in new window

This only seems to address the applications that were waiting, not the updates.

Upload the ccmsetup.log from the local client "C:\Windows\ccmsetup\Logs"

Oops! My bad. I overlooked your issue description and thought you've an issue with the Agent installation.
You can't remove the deployment from the Client end which will be keep on pushing from the SCCM.

Is it a software update or the application package you're facing this issue?

@Sunil - Sorry for the delay in this response. I did check for errors. I could not find any errors that were relevant to anything recent. I was up against a deadline and I just had to re-image this computer. However, I do have other computers that are displaying similar issues with installing patches and updates. It would be great to know if there is a way to "start over" as if there is nothing in software center and the client needs to go back to the SCCM server to pull all current advertisements and instructions.

I know this is an old thread but it appears to not be solved at this point.  This often happens when a download gets corrupted.   Clear the cache and it will re-download from the server.

Start, run, control smscfgrc
Cache Tab
Configure Settings
Delete Files

If that dosen't work you can try re-installing the sccm client.  First uninstall from the control panel then manually remove c:\windows\ccmsetup c:\windows\ccm and c:\windows\ccmcache folders if they still exist.  If configured correctly, SCCM server should push the client to the workstation on the next poll, or you can re-install manually.

The order of activities seems to be a little different in every case, but clearing cache is the common action every time. Thanks for your input
