Normally the unit is 1 day.
One minute is 1/24/60
So n minutes are n*1/24/60  or n/24/60
I hate that I know the numbers now, but here is the breakdown for those that don't want to do the math.

Fractions of a day:

24 hours in a day
1440 minutes in a day
86440 seconds in a day

So, 10 hours is 10/24, 10 minutes is 10/1440, 10 seconds is 10/86400.

I guess I sort of assumed the math was a given and the use of fractions in the parameter was the solution.
I memorized the numbers for some reason.  Didn't want to have to keep going 10/24/60/60.  10/86400 is less typing.  We do a lot of calculations with seconds.
