SCCM sluggish distribution points

Hello all,

I have several distribution points, some are pull distribution points. Most of them are working good except three distribution points. they are very slow and its taking ever to download the content. What steps should I take to improve them?

Make sure there are no network level traffic throttling mechanisms in place.

Next thing i would check is to ensure that you do not have restrictive rate control settings in place on your push distribution points

For your pull distribution points check to see if you have any bits throttling policies in place as this is the mechanism that pull distribution points use for distributing content. I have seen many situations where bits throttling settings are set on a pull dp because it is also configured to be a wsus server.

Let me know how you make out with the above suggestions and we can go from there
