Install Autodesk Vault Pro 2019 on a 2016 server core
Hey Expert,
I would like to install a Vault Pro 2019 on a 2016 server core. At the moment everything was ok, I install SQL standard, configure firewall etc etc I ran the Pre-check tool, only 1 warning as usual about response time. I launch the setup file for the vault, I can't select it because internet explorer is require to install the vault pro but internet explorer is not available on a core server....
1st question, i am not sure IE is really needed on the vault server... ?
2nd question, can i trick it so the install won't check for IE.. ?
May be some of you already tried or talked with autodesk about it ?
Thanks in advanced for your feedback.

Hi Philip,
I did not find any document saying they do support or not the core version at the moment, I will also post on Autodesk forum.
Not sure if you know the answer but why IE is needed on the server side?
Thanks,

There are so many applications that hook into the IE stack it's not funny.
It involves a ground-up recode of the product. Many vendors won't do that.

My answer basically said that so I'm confused by no points?
The fact that there are hard stops while trying to install on Core makes it clear that it's a no go.
Therefore, the answers to 1 & 2 are Yes and No.
