Andy's ended up being the one I used. Something about the way I had to mess with the release slide lock thing and something about the page on that doc helped me realize the mechanism was jacking with me. &nbsp;Ended up being no big deal, but funny how HP changes things up from on laptop to another. My 8540's are simpler to swap the HD. &nbsp;This one isn't bad, but less obvious, how they put HD under the whole bottom cover..<br />
