recovering files from a Copier/Printer/Scanner hard drive
deleted a years worth of data- a good portion of the date were files taht were scanned to email from our network copier/printer/scanner. I have been told that it is possible to recover files from the hard drives of these devices. We have reomved the hard drives but are not formatted ina away thatwe can see the data of the drive. Does anyone know how to get this data?

Printers do not normally save scanned files to their hard disk. Instead they scan to network drives, email, or possibly to a USB drive. As you say they were scanned to email, they will NOT be on the printer's hard drive.
Hopefully you are able to recover the files from you backup - you do have backup I hope.

Well, there is not any manual way to do so. You have to go for an recovery software to fix this issue.

These drives are indeed most likely using standard file system but are encrypted.

If Rob accepts that there is no way to recover the files, then my answer was correct: the scans cannot be recovered from the printer's disk.
