How to obtain a new private IP address from a router
When ipconfig/renew, it doesn't change the private IP, stays the same. We have tried "/release" then "/flushdns" then "/renew" to no avail. We also turned off the modem router and turned it back on, still same IP. We read somewhere that in order to any router assign a new IP, both computer and router has to be off at least an hour (that didn't make sense).
So we turn to EE; please advice on the proper way to have the computer automatically be assign a new IP to a computer (the computer is windows 10 pro).

When you say Private IP, I assume you mean the Internal LAN subnet and want a new IP so 192.168.77.102 and you want 192.168.77.100? Correct?
What's your reason for wanting to do this?
If you want or need your computer to have a specific address you can either hard set it outside the scope of your routers DHCP scope or put a reservation for the MAC address to that specific IP,

Do you have a server? DHCP Reservation works on a Server, not usually on a router. Is your DHCP coming from a Server or your router?
And to add to Yo_bee's note, unless you have a specific reason for a specific machine (I have such a machine at clients with a DHCP Reservation), who cares what the local IP address is?
