Backup scheduling using backup exec
Backup exec scheduling...
I have one Windows file server DFS replica to protect, which contains ~4TB of data. I have an 8TB ISCSI volume, which can be expanded up to ~16TB. My goal is to retain at least 60 days worth of backups 2 disk. We have some twitchy users that like to delete and relocate files....
I was thinking of 1 FULL and 59 incrementals or 2 x (1 FULL /mth and 1 inc /day for 30 days). I'm currently running the trial version, but I've only purchased 1 single Backup exec server license with no agents whatsoever.
Any recommendations on scheduling?
Are there better methods I should consider? (ie grandfather, father, child)
All helpful responses welcome!
Thanks!

The latter I am not sure about. We do backups at all our clients with Backup Exec as noted earlier to ensure offsite tapes. But everything fits in a daily tape on our servers.

Is there some clever de-dupe feature that can follow your suggestion based off of the dest/target storage sizes I mentioned above?
Thanks!
