Hyper v has stopped replication with out of space error.

Hyper V replication on Server 2016 has stopped with error out of disk space.  I have 4 vm's replicating between two server 2016 hosts which have stopped replicating.  when I look at the even log it says could not replicate because there is not enough space on the disk.  When I look at my hard drive space on both 2016 servers I have 3 tb left.  Not sure why I am getting this error.  Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a VM's VHDX file that is close to full in-guest?

Yes. Would one cause replication to stop on all?

Yes. Plenty of room. I will proceed and let you know. Thank you
Thank you. The one VM was causing the issue. I expanded the drive and all good. Many thanks
Interesting. I wonder what the error message was and if it indicated that it was talking about the virtual disk, and not the storage of the host. If it didn't indicate that, this should be reported to Microsoft as this is mission-critical.
Yes. I thought that was odd also. Possibly because the storage of the host is on a virtual disk?
The storage of the host itself is on a virtual disk? Why would you do that? Or do you mean, it is on a storage space virtual disk? Anyway, I would inform Microsoft so that they change their error wording so in the future, others aren't confused by this.
