Excel shared workbook

Shared excel workbooks:
We have an excel (2013) shared workbook which is updated by one user
When another user access the workbook the data entered by the first user can be wiped out when the workbook is re saved
The workbook is on a network share
Any ideas please

Excel is not really designed for multiple users even though you can share the workbooks.

Do you have subscriptions to Office 365 and OneDrive? If so there is a feature called Collaboration that might help.

Collaborate on Excel workbooks at the same time with co-authoring

Apparently you can collaborate using Excel 2016.
