info on DR/BDR where no documentation exists

Don't have much documentation at my new place and I wanted to know where to begin to understand our DR/BDR information.  I specifically wanted to know what it costs the company to be down for an hour or a day and so forth.  Since we don't have much documentation, it is really hard to understand or where to begin.

Thanks for your input.  I'm new to the whole business side of IT and was hoping to get some type of documentation to begin with...I'm struggling presently because everyone I have been at before, had documentation for everything.  I guess coming to a smaller business has its disadvantages and advantages...The worst documentation I was exposed to before was documentation that just was not updated as opposed to no documentation.

Thanks for your input and welcome any additional information you might have.
What you are looking for is unique by by business. Look up Disaster Recovery in Google and you will see some general documents you can review

You need to work with the top level people in each business unit. They may assign someone to assist with the project. It's going to require a lot of interviews. The answers will always vary by the set of operations. For example, a government contractor would have a different cost for downtime then a manufacturing company. Also, how much stuff is in the cloud? All sorts of things at play here.
