1Gbps devices running at 100Mbps

Hi
I have installed several cat6 Ethernet cables around our office, nothing exceeding or anywhere near 20m
The devices, which are all 1Gbps capable, refuse to connect beyond 100Mbps
Could it be my RJ45 connectors or sockets that are of poor quality ?
thanks

Cat 6 or Cat 5e should be able to connect using 1GB speed. I have Cat5e in my whole company and all devices are connecting using 1Gbps speed
Make sure your switch is 1GB Ethernet and is not forcing 100Mbps connection
Things it could be off the top of my head?
1. You used the wrong wire config so the gigabit pairs aren't being used.
2. You have everything set to a specific speed in the NIC properties so it doesn't negotiate at a higher speed.
3. You're using a 100 Mbit switch/hub (perhaps one with MOSTLY 100 Mb ports but a couple of Gigabit Uplink and you're misreading?)

Verify your interfaces supports 1G + is running with Auto Negotiation == on + Duplex == full.

Be sure to verify settings of each device (computers, routers, switches) which create your entire connection chain.
Thanks and I was glad to assist you .
