increase concurrent connections to a server 2016 machine
I have a Windows server 2016 Virtual Machine that needs to be accessed by RDP by more than 2 concurrent users.
Last time I had this issue was many years ago on server 2003 i think and i just applied a TS license for more users.
I've had a read up on the new method and become pretty confused by it all.
Can somebody explain the steps of how to get say 2 more users being able to login in (4 total at once)
Thanks very much.

Yes, the same solution still applies. You should be able to the console as a third connection (mstsc /admin)
Be aware, that the free option of 2 concurrent connections is (by EULA) restricted to administrative access and was never meant for users.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the comments :)
Dirk, which Rule do you mean? Or was that Role (as in Windows features / server roles etc)?
Shaun, the mstsc /admin was taken out ages ago (Server 2008 was the last i think). I need this for server 2016. (unless i'm missing something?)
Hi Andrew, what is the "hack" ? this sounds promising!

either use TSplus, if you don't know about the hack, then I'm afraid I will have to let you google it...
Breaches of the EULA cannot be discussed on EE, and this falls into that category.
I've never understood, how TSplus gets around the concurrency without using RDS/TS, but it does, and they still continue to sell and support it.
So consider it a poor mans Citrix/TS/RDS

Thanks Andrew TSPlus has worked perfectly.
No problems, glad to help. Have a good day.
You have to install the RDS-/RemoteDesktop licenses too.
