Removing preinstalled Office 365

Hi

New Windows 10 systems e.g. Lenovo, are now delivered with preinstalled Office 365

You can't however go into Programs & Features to uninstall it because it isn't listed
I tried uninstalling it using the Microsoft Easy fix utility:  no success

I could uninstall the files manually but that seems a little messy

Does anyone have an easy way to remove this preinstalled Officer instance ?

Here is the file path to this Office installation :
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Office.Desktop.Excel_16040.10325.20082.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Office16

thanks
regards
yann

This is a common enough question but I don't find a well-defined answer to it.

a) Try the manual uninstall procedure cited by Microsoft:
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/manually-uninstall-office-4e2904ea-25c8-4544-99ee-17696bb3027b?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

b) Probably a better solution, even at the cost of taking more time - reinstall Windows from scratch.  You will then have a clean copy with no manufacturer-supplied "feature" software.  You can then sysprep that system and clone this clean copy across the other afflicted machines.
I agree. Start again and do not install the vendor's software.  In future order WITHOUT Office. We do that, Office is not installed and we install our volume license.

The issue appears to be that the included version is Subscription for individuals.

If you cannot simply uninstall it (Programs and Features), then reimage without it.

Unfortunately the suggested utility is the one that I already had; which can't detect the Office installation
As an admin based user I can't even access the c:\program files\windows.apps (hidden) directory !

Alas, I guess it's going to be one of those days !
