What is removing hosts from Power Users

We have a 2012 R2 domain.  Recently, we are receiving emails from computers that a member was removed from Power Users

I have not initiated any group changes in AD.  What is causing this removal of Domain users from Power Users?

I do not think this is a cleanup process.  I would check your DC's event logs for any events for AD checks.
Here is a link that will help you try and isolate.  This task will only be viable if auditing is enabled at the time of these events (Which is most likely the on.)

Thank you for your post. We do not have Power Users enabled on any of our Server 2012 machines so I was not able to test.

So I found the Power Users group in AD and deleted it.  Thanks!   We still have old stuff from our NT server days.
Power Users does not do anything so removing it is a good idea.

Why are you addressing this from the domain

I hope you enable Active Directory Recycle Bin before taking advise from a forum to delete a group.
