That sounds like you have PHP 5.6.30 installed in Mac OS outside of MAMP. &nbsp;MAMP and WAMP usually run in kind of a sandbox so that other software doesn't interfere with the operation of their softwares.

I am tryings to install twig via composer but it tells me I need php 7. I am running PHP 7 according to MAMP and phpInfo (see screenshot)<br />

phpInfo and MAMP show php 7 but php -v in command line shows version 5.6.30
