Turn on print screen key in windows 7.

Hi Experts,
the print screen key stopped working on my pc.
any suggestion?
preferably something that does not require restarting my pc...
thanks in advance.
fyi- I'm connected remotely thru gotomypc, however pass special keys to host is checked off.

Hi,
You meant the following for example?

Close out of the program you are having trouble with capturing the screen.

Right click on the shortcut of the program on your desktop (in my case it's Sims 2 Apartment Life).

Click on Properties .

Click on the Compatibility tab.

In the middle area of that tab, there should be a bunch of check boxes under Settings. Click in the box alongsideDisable desktop composition.

Apply the changes, click OK.

I tried that and now it seems to be working-:)

Wondering, does it belongs to be checked off?
if yes, who/what did unchecked it?

I have Windows 10 and you wanted No Restart, so that is what I picked out to get you going without restart.

Okay, I just checked my other pc and it does not have that checked off, and still has the print screen working, so I dont know what does that mean?
Can I unchecked at the remote pc and will continue to work?

You are remote, so you need to look at the computer in person. I cannot tell you what happen there as you are remote.
