Downloading Internet Video

I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo P71 laptop.  Based on an expert recommendation some time ago I've been using Wondershare AllMyTube for downloading YouTube videos.  All of a sudden the program has stopped working, with almost all of the YouTube, Facebook, and Vimeo videos I try to download giving me the following message:

Can you recommend a dependable program for downloading internet videos?  I know that I won't be able to get everything, but something that can work most of the time (like the AllMyTube used to).  I don't mind paying for a program if it works.

Thanks,

Phil

Thanks for getting back to me.  Unfortunately, when I tried to download the ClipGrab software my Malwarebytes quarantined the file because it identified it as a threat.  Any other suggestions?

Malwarebytes should not be flagging ClipGrab as a threat, and indeed Malwarebytes should not be running at all unless you start it manually -- it collides with antiviruses and, imo, the "in memory" runs-all-the-time version is a hindrance.

You could:

a) Uninstall Malwarebytes and install it again without the real-time monitoring.
b) Tell Malwarebytes that this is an error and whitelist Clipgrab.
Hi Phil,
That's probably because the regular version (which you get by clicking the big blue "Free Download!" button) has third-party files in it via installCore). If you look at the fine print under the big blue button, you'll see a link to "Download version without third-party offers" — MBAM may (or may not) like that one. I don't use this software myself, but if Dr. Klahn endorses it, that's good enough for me. :) Regards, Joe
Also give the publishers of your current downloader a few days to adjust to the changes on the websites  (AllMyTube > Updates from your screenshot above), as DrKlahn says these programs are always playing catch-up when the video platforms change their structure.
Use the youtube-dl project instead.

This project code has been working 100% correctly, since first release.

The developers release copious updates, so anytime YouTube changes, youtube-dl code changes.
Thanks, guys.  I've given AllMyTube as much time as I'm willing to allow it.  Getting ClipGrab worked with using the small print "without third party" option.
You're welcome, Phil, and thanks to you for letting us know that the version without third-party offers passed muster with MBAM. Regards, Joe
