SSIS package to export contact data to Outlook contact folder

You should be able to do that by choosing a CSV file on the destination Outlook 2016 contact folder for example as described in this step by step instructions document: http://knowlton-group.com/using-ssis-to-export-data-to-flat-files/

An outlook contact folder does not contain files, it is an outlook container for contacts.  I am looking for something to specifically export SQL server contact data to an outlook contact folder, which will involve creating outlook contacts in the folder.

"which will involve creating outlook contacts in the folder" - not sure what exactly you want to achieve but my obvious guess is that you want to sync some SQL Database Contact table with outlook and in order to do that one option is to export as mentioned your SQL as CSV file then import that into outlook as described here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/import-contacts-from-an-excel-spreadsheet-HA102919779.aspx

If this is not what you meant please kindly explain what exactly you need.

I get an error from your link, but  I am looking to export directly to the outlook contact folder, not a two-step process as you describe.
