Microsoft UM service stops working
Running exchange 2016 standard. Not sure when it started, but randomly, the Microsoft UM service just stops working, the service continues to run, but does not work anymore.
It doesn't respond to any input, but the service remains in a "running" state. During this time, no one can access their VMs. When we dial the VM extension, it just doesn't respond, it's dead silence.
Any thoughts in how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Dan

I just figured out how to change it using the EMS, so I don't think those options are available in the ECP, at least that's what I read online.
Do you know in what logs the data will be at? Besides the event app/system logs, is there any other place where I can see the raw data?

Sorry I am used to Exchange 2010 where the Exchange Management Console or Powershell is where any configuration is set.
Once you have set the Diagnostice logs to a higher level, you can check the Application logs for any Exchange related errors, also check the System log for any service start/stop errors. Use the links in Event Viewer to find out more info about any errors.

i enabled the expert logging for the UM, and problem occurred, but nothing in the logs points to the issue. I think I'm going to just update to the newest CU and see what happens.

I searched online, and nothing comes up for the ECP, I did find a some powershell commands, but they were for 2010 and 2013.
