Moving internal install of esxi to thumbdrive?

I currently have an esxi 6.0 environment that we are upgrading to 6.7. We already have vcenter 6.7 running. We have 3 hosts, all currently running 6.0.
1 installed on a thumbdrive the other 2 hosts running on the internal hard drives. What I would like to do is copy/move the current internal installations to thumbdrives as well. Storage is not an issue as our VMs will be migrated over to external storage. Is there a way to accomplish this move without a complete reinstall?

Not possible or supported.

Re-install to a high quality flash drive.

Solution was very simple. Use cli to backup settings, install on thumbdrive, use cli to restore settings. Worked perfectly with no issues.
