After deleting a user's profile by following the below steps, user get's the below error. How do you fix this?

Steps:
1. Click Start > in the Search/Run box type sysdm.cpl {enter} > Select the Advanced tab > User Profile Section > Settings.
2. Locate the offending profile and select delete > then confirm.

Error and next login:
"We can't sign into your account

This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in.
If you don't sign out now, any files you create or changes you make will be lost."

That solved it? The profile wizard should do exactly these steps automatically. Interesting.

McKnife. How do you use the Profile Wizard?
The same way you did. That was correct and should not need anything else. Did that dozens of times myself.
