Vmware license error

I bought a Dell server with embeded vsphere 6.5. I get error  when i assign the license key for Essential kit.
How do we assign license key?
Should i have to have vCeneter? i never had any problem in the previous versions.

ASKER

Te error is Please "provide a valid license key".

I never had this issue provided i have correct key.
It must take whether Ent plus, essential or whatever.
Does the license associate with server's service tag for embedded installation?
Did you purchase the license with the Dell server ?

A license is not already assigned ?

An embedded is just ESXi installed on a SD card ( mirrored as optional) and shipped with server.

You should be able to assign the license key using the Host Client, or when added to vCenter Server.

You have checked this is the correct key, you can now Export and Import your license keys from MyVMware, so no need to actually type in the license, which can prevent typos.

Some valid reasons here....
