Excel

One user is constantly getting this error when opening excel file
Excel found unreadable content in n excel file

Do you want to recover the contents of the workbook

If you trust the source of the workbook click yes

Excelbrecovered your formulas but some data would be lost

Is anything needs to look or repair or addins

Try uninstalling Office completely, then restart, install Office and patch fully.

It that fails, make a new, test, Windows User Profile, log into the new Windows Profile and test.

You can check add-ins for strange add-ins, but with a normal install of Office and add-ins, we do not see this message.

It might be that all you need to do is to completely close Excel and/or reboot.

Some corrupted xls file can be view on google spreadsheets or LibreOffice so I think you should try open with these programs.

If I still can readable, the file damaged completely.
