Update Date column in oracle 12c

I want to update a column in oracle table. column type is timestamp. I have to run the below query:

Update address set created_date = '6/16/2015 7:57:20.834000 AM' Where id = 123;

date  '6/16/2015 7:57:20.834000 AM'  is a hard coded value. I am trying with to_timestamp as am/pm but unable to do so

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try:
to_timestamp('6/16/2015 7:57:20.834000 AM','MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS.FF6 AM')

The docs have all the date format items:
https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/12.2/sqlrf/Format-Models.html#GUID-22F2B830-261E-4BF0-91FB-6A1DAFC6D0A3

For AM/PM look at:  Meridian indicator with or without periods.
