export and import vm custom attributes(annotations) after migration

I migrated from venter 5.5 virtual machines to new fresh installed venter 6.5. I didn't export some custom attributes(annotations) of virtual machines, and now they are missing for the  VMs in new vcenter.
Is it possible to export them somehow( or find them in database sql server) and import them in new vcenter server.

Hi Andrew,
thank you for your help. The problem is that I have already migrate hosts and vms to new vcenter server. And I upgraded the host, so no possible to migrate them back.
The proposed script does not work on old vcenter server because currently there isn't any virtual machines there.
Is there any other solution for my problem

Oh, maybe search the database, if the data has not already gone.

I found the tables but it's seems that without virtual machines, data cannot be correlated.
I'll give my points to andrew, because of his help on the topic
