Remounting the database E2010

HELP!

I have a Exchange 2010 server. The database unmounted yesterday and all attempts to recover the database with the eseutil utility have failed to fix the problem and allow me to remount the database. I could not back up the file - apparent file error. I tried running chkdsk /f and it did find 4 corrupt sectors on the drive.

The latest error message when attempting to remounting is:

Any ideas on what to do next?

Hi,
You can check the following thread:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/7e5fddf8-7890-480a-9792-cdab001ef065/mapiexceptionjeterrorpagenotinitialized-unable-to-mount-database-hr0x80004005-ec1019?forum=exchange2010

Make sure that you do not have disk 56-57 events in System. If you do this is a very low corruption on hard. Move the database to a new drive and try to perform portability:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/high-availability/disaster-recovery/database-portability

If you have run the eseutil /p what is the error there?

Best regards

ASKER

After running eseutil /p for the 3rd time it looks like it aborted with this error:

Rebuilding MSysObjectsShadow from MsysObjects

operation terminated with error -1605 <Jet_errKeyDuplicate, Illegal duplicate key> after 1297.454 seconds
Forget to mount this database, till now I have never fixed an illegal duplicate key. It is a very low level corruption and it will not be fixed. I hope you have a backup.

Call Microsoft. This is not the right forum for your problem. You need "hands on" help.
Backup failed. Ouch!

New Question:

If I create a new database and mount it, how do I move the "mailboxes" of my 40+ clients to the new database?

I have heard of admins deleted the old database and starting fresh, but the client databases are still looking at the old database.
If you have money to spare, and time do call them, illegal duplicate key error cannot be fixed. If they fix it, please do tell how :)
You can try and save the data with a third party PST export tool. and then move the Mailboxes over to a new DB.  For reference check the portability article
I would hope that they have an original backup. I know that a dup key err can't be fixed except via binfix edit.
Hi

A 3rd party tool can open the edb and export to pst
I guess I'll have to create a new database and import the pst's into the new one. Still researching how that gets done, but I think I'll need to figure out the cmdlet using the EMS, right?
