We need to manually  upgrade our windows  10 1703 laptops to 1709,But all the feature updtate I downlaoded from MS upgrades to 1803 instead of 1709. Whats the best way to upgrade them to 1709 but not 1803.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you only want to go to 1709

Be mindful if you leave windows updates on it may update to 1803 on its own down the road.

The link provided was from April. The media creation tool me ruined in that thread now creates 1803 media. If you didn't already archive 1709 media and don't have a volume license agreement, there is no good way to do a manual upgrade.

Even the pause feature updates functionality would. Be an all-or-nothing approach. Short of spinning up a WSUS server, if you don't already have media from a legal source, you may be out of luck.

Cliff, yes you are correct . I am trying to downlaod media from our own license server.

If you have volume licenses then you should have media on VLSC.  The list of software in VLSC is generated based on licenses associated with the login ID, so links and software are unique and I have no way of pasting links that you'd be able to use.  That's really all I can say about downloading from "[your] own license server."
