Adapter to connect front USB connector to Intel S2600cp server board

Are there any adapters I can purchase that will allow me to connect the front USB connector plug on a "CORSAIR VENGEANCE C70 Mid-Tower Case - Black" computer case to an Intel S2600cp server board?

The plug for connecting the two front USB connectors on this case is different than the connector on the Intel S2600cp server board.

I have attaches pictures below of both the plug for this case as well as the connector on the server board where the front USB connectors should plugin. I have also attached the S2600cp server board manual and the S2600cp server board tech specs guide.

The URL from where I purchased the case from is here.

Please let me know if there are any adapters or converters I can buy that will allow me to connect these two front USB connector cable to this server board.

MASQ,

Are you sure that this adapter is 100% compatible?

I just want to make sure before I order it that when I get it that it will work.

I don't need to plug any USB 3 devices into the front two USB ports on the top of this case I will only need to plug USB thumb drives into these ports.

Can someone please confirm that the adapter in the URL that MASQ  provided will work? From the picture, it looks like it will I just want to be sure before I actually order it.

Your motherboard doesn’t support USB 3.0 (unless you can get sufficient data through a PCI board as nobus suggests). The front connectors are both UsB 3.0 on the Corsair case so you have additional data and power coonections in the case cable your Intel board can’t use.  The adapter is the standard way to get a USB 3.0 port to work in this situation. Of course you’ll only get USB 2.0 functionality from the front ports if you use it.

It’s not a great choice of case for your server board, you won’t end up with a gaming machine just a server in gaming clothes.

Does that PCI adapter mentioned in the post by nobus,  https://www.amazon.com/Express-Expansion-Controller-Rosewill-RC-508/dp/B011LZY20G, have connectors that allow the connector plug that goes to the two front USB connectors on the front top of the case to be connected to it?

I looked closely at the pictures of this adapter but didn't really see any pins where this type of connector plug could be plugged in.

Do I know this very well, as we purchase Corsair cases, with these connectors, which then noticed on modern new motherboards, the connector plugs straight in, otherwise you need the Corsair Carbide accessory box -

which has  1x Cable, USB 2.0 int mbd header to USB 3.0 int mbd header adapter.

The only issue is it took us, 1 year to get hold of them....

I believe its now end of life!

Just purchase that adaptor....however if your MOBO is non standard, you'll have to make your own cable..

Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2),

Do you know anywhere on the internet where I can purchase these adapters you mentioned "48353 Carbide Access Box CC-893002"?

Or can I purchase 4 of these adapters directly from you?

You must have some extras lying around or be able to pull them out of old systems that no longer work.
Hi Andy, you're right the original Carbide Kit has been discontinued & repackaged by Corsair and no longer includes the USB3 > 2 adapter, just the screws and ties.  They do still include it with the Obsidian Kit 550D though (SKU CC-8930058), just in case you need another :)
@☠ MASQ ☠

No longer available, it took me 12 months to get the first kit, and that was in discussions with the Premier UK Distributor for Corsair!

in the end I had to pull some strings, with people in Corsair I know personally!

Bloody hopeless...

@IT Guy - either purchase from Amazon, or build your own.

The adapter MASQ suggested will enable your front panel to operate at USB 2.0 speeds, if that's all you need.
https://www.amazon.com/USB-3-0-2-0-Internal-Cable/dp/B009BBD3V2
Also here:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAEGB69N9393&cm_re=USB_3.0_to_USB_2.0_Internal_Cable-_-9SIAEGB69N9393-_-Product

The PCIe card Nobus suggested (or any USB 3.0 card with a port for internal connection) will provide USB 3.0 speeds to your front panel.  The internal USB 2.0 and 3.0 connectors are standard, so no worries about compatibility of either solution.

If others use the box they could get annoyed that your front panel USB 3.0 ports operate slow.  They might even think something is wrong with the computer.  To avoid that you could simply add a USB 2.0 panel to your case.  They are available in 5.25 or 3.5 sizes and some come with additional capability like card readers.

I've already looked and so far haven't been able to find any which is why I'm hoping you can provide me with exact URLs of where I can purchase these from on Amazon.

I just wanted to make sure that these adapters are 100% compatible and will work before I order them.
Not sure who else you can ask :)
Unless an Expert purchases one and tests for you....... there will be no guarantee.

But at least you can return for FREE on Amazon.
