I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Since a new Outlook Profile did not fix the issue permanently, try the following:

Make a new, test Windows User Profile. Log into the new Windows Account, set up Outlook and test.

I have the same profile set up on a different laptop and it's working perfectly. I can't figure out why this one is giving me so many issues. This is my work laptop so using the other really isn't a long term option.

You need to try a new Windows profile on the problem machine as suggested. See if the fixes the issue.

This will take a lot of time since my outlook file is extremely large. Before I take this route, would you mind explaining how a new windows profile would be a viable option if it's on the same machine and a outlook profile didn't work long? I would be concerned that the issue will affect the computer as a whole. Please understand, I'm not an IT person - so if I sound ignorant, it's only because I don't understand the OPS. I am willing to do it, I just need to understand the process.

Thanks for the update:

1. Try Archiving the file (Outlook, Options, Advanced) and substantially reduce the size of the Outlook file. That may indeed help if your Outlook file is very large (new information here).

2. If you need a new Windows Profile, set one up in Computer Management, Users and Groups. Make a new Profile with a password. Log in to the new profile and set up Outlook.

Try reducing the size first as that may be causing the error.

But since you say it works on another computer, you may need to try the new Windows Profile.

Thank you for the assistance, but that ran an antivirus and somehow I've not had an issue since.
